Memory Cards and Data recovery

  Dave Johnson of the PC World once said-   “Memory cards are like hard drives in that they get fragmented when you repeatedly store and erase lots of files. There's no way to defragment a memory card, so formatting it serves that purpose. A secondary reason to format your memory card is to prevent data corruption.”

   The way we handle our memory devices especially the memory card is very important as it determines the life span, memory cards are very tiny and slim thus makes them react to temperature change easily. The following are tips that can help you handle your memory cards properly and cause to stay in good shape for longtime:

1.    Do not place your memory cards directly under sunlight
2.    Avoid your card from a very hot or high temperature areas or environment
3.   Do not use your camera to format your cards, use your computer system
4.   Eject your cards properly before removing it from any system, be it computers or phones.
5.  Always leave the cards in its case if not in use.
6.   Format regularly

These tips will help you  go a long way with your storage devices. Now you might have experience stuffs like saving files and later when you want to open them they don’t open or complains of file error or file corrupt, this usually happens when the temperature between when the files are saved and when you want to access them are too much OR saving files in a very HOT or COLD environments.
